AIM Sports Group's mission is to develop and train our athletes to perform to the best of their abilities. Our main goal for the Multi-Sport Summer Camp is to supplement that by engaging all kids in the development of their fundamental sport skills. It’s important for youth to get acquainted with different sports and movement patterns to develop their fine motor skills. Between the ages of 5-12 years old is when kids decide what they enjoy doing and figure out what they are skilled at. It’s our job as coaches and athletes to aid in discovering those skills and teaching young athletes how to use them.
According to an article by sportanddev.org, “Sport, education and youth development”, changes can be seen in motor skill development and performance in conjunction with educational potential. There is a positive relationship shown between being involved in physical activities and psychosocial development. This is imperative for children in the developing stages where their mental and emotional health as well as their physical abilities are being formed.
