ATHLETIC TRAINING

Our Certified Athletic Trainers are not just “trainers” or “personal trainers”. They are healthcare professionals who are qualified to assess fitness needs and design appropriate exercise regimens to reach specific fitness goals that encourage health and wellness.

What makes Athletic Trainers unique is their ability to provide physical medicine and rehabilitation services. Athletic Trainers coordinate care with physicians and other health care professionals to optimize activity and participation in athletics, work and life. Among some of the places they work include: schools, colleges, professional, sports, clinics, performing arts, and hospitals. Athletic Trainers must obtain, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and must pass a comprehensive exam to earn the ATC credential. They must participate in continuing education courses in order to keep their certification current.
