January Plank Challenge

SBVBC Plank Challenge Details – January 2017

Each SBVBC team had a timed goal each workout in January until everyone reached 2 minutes. Time was based on how many sessions were available during the month and the age group.

Teams needed to be present at least 75% of their workouts in order to finish the challenge.

Planks were also checked for form and were thrown in at various times throughout our workouts in order to challenge the athlete (sometimes within in a circuit, sometimes at the end of a session). As times increased, we’d pyramid the planks (i.e. if the plank goal for any day was 1 min 30, we’d start at 45 sec go to 1 min, then 1 min 15 sec and finally 1 min 30).

The girls monitored their daily challenges with a sticker board (which each team designed themselves). The challenge winners all met the 2-minute goal time, good form, and good attendance and received a ticket to be entered in our end of the year raffle.
